Illinois Retina’s Dr. Sohail Hasan Hosts Successful OPHTHPAC Retreat in Park City, Utah
Illinois Retina Associates and Retina Consultants of America (RCA) are proud to highlight the recent OPHTHPAC committee retreat, hosted by our very own Dr. Sohail Hasan, Chair of both OPHTHPAC and the RCA Advocacy Committee. This impactful event took place at in beautiful Park City, Utah, from June 28-30, 2024.
Dr. Hasan, a renowned retina surgeon and committed advocate for ophthalmology, led the retreat with exceptional expertise and dedication. The event brought together key leaders in the field to discuss crucial political and legislative issues, strategize on fundraising efforts, and explore innovative advocacy communications.
A special highlight of the retreat was the presence of future Congressman Dr. Michael Kennedy, whose district includes Park City. Dr. Hasan and the OPHTHPAC committee had the honor of hosting Dr. Kennedy for dinner, providing a unique opportunity for the committee members to engage directly with an influential political figure, further strengthening OPHTHPAC's advocacy efforts.
In addition to insightful discussions and strategic planning sessions, attendees enjoyed a scenic gondola ride and nature walk, fostering camaraderie and connection amidst the breathtaking mountain views.
Dr. Hasan's leadership and commitment to the field of ophthalmology were evident throughout the retreat, underscoring the vital role Illinois Retina and RCA play in advancing eye care and advocacy.
