Hasan, MD, PhD, FACS, FASRS, FRCSC, one of the leading retina surgeon at Illinois Retina Associates, recently presented at the prestigious American Eye Study Club meeting, held this month at the historic Kilkea Castle in Ireland. Illinois Retina Associates is proud to be part of Retina Consultants of America (RCA), a network committed to advancing the field of ophthalmology through collaboration and innovation.
Dr. Hasan delivered two impactful presentations:
- Harnessing Private Equity for Enhanced Advocacy in Ophthalmology: In this talk, Dr. Hasan explored the potential of private equity to strengthen advocacy efforts within the field of ophthalmology, providing insights that could shape the future of our specialty.
- Federal Advocacy for Ophthalmology Update: This presentation was part of a broader session on advocacy, where Dr. Hasan updated fellow leaders in ophthalmology on the latest federal advocacy efforts. This session was attended by esteemed members of the study club, including department chairs, researchers, educators, and practicing clinicians.
The meeting was also attended by fellow Retina Consultants of America (RCA) members, Dr. Curtis Hagedorn of Denver, CO, and Dr. Matthew Cunningham of Orlando, FL, further emphasizing the collaborative spirit and leadership within our network.
