Dr. MacCumber Published In March, 2023 EyeNet Magazine

Dr. Mathew MacCumber, along with three other physicians, had an article published in the March, 2023 EyeNet Magazine. The title of the article is “Analysis of Posterior Vitreous Detachment and Development of Complications Using a Large Database of Retina Specialists”. Posterior vitreous detachments remain one of the most common diagnoses in ophthalmology practices. While most associated complications are noted at first presentation, there is a significant number of complications that may occur in the subsequent six months. These findings suggest the need for an extended follow-up regimen for at-risk eyes and the importance of appropriate patient education.
